Job Description
Job Summary : - The Senior Fuel Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s fuel usage, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and control of fuel distribution, consumption, and storage. The role focuses on minimizing fuel losses, optimizing fuel efficiency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and control fuel issuance and consumption across all company vehicles and machinery.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of fuel transactions.
Analyze fuel consumption trends and prepare regular reports for management.
Oversee fuel stock levels and coordinate timely refueling and procurement.
Investigate fuel discrepancies or irregularities and report findings.
Implement fuel-saving initiatives and provide recommendations for improved efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in fuel handling.
Ensure reliable supply of fuel by managing procurement processes, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and minimizing storage costs.
Track fuel usage across different vehicles and identify areas of inefficiency or discrepancy and recommend solutions for optimization or measures for correction.
Maintain accurate records of fuel transactions, inventory levels, and consumption patterns, and generate regular reports for management.
Identify opportunities to reduce fuel costs through efficient management practices, such as optimizing routes, implementing fuel-saving technologies, and negotiating favorable pricing with suppliers.
Develop and implement fuel management policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
BA/BSc in Logistics, Business Management, Supply Chain, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fuel monitoring software is a plus.
