About the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) 

We are a global communion of churches in the Lutheran tradition, living and working together for a just, peaceful, and reconciled world.  LWF World Service is the humanitarian and development arm of the Lutheran World Federation. We are a widely recognized, international, faith-based organization working in over 20 countries. Lutheran World Federation (LWF) in Ethiopia   

LWF World Service Ethiopia is a registered foreign charity, which has been operating in Ethiopia since 1973 implementing various development and humanitarian projects in different parts of Ethiopia.  LWF World Service Ethiopia works closely with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY), the Ethiopian Government, UN organizations and other funding partners. Its thematic areas include the promotion of food security and sustainable livelihood, sustainable natural resources management, emergency preparedness, response and rehabilitation, and capacity building.

Harm and abuse may include but are not limited to physical, psychological, and sexual violence and abuse, financial and material abuse, all forms of modern slavery, and all forms of maltreatment and exploitation. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hold a proper and valid license and skill to properly handle the vehicle assigned to him;

• Observe and respect at all times, the traffic regulations, particularly in city driving;

• Follow the Logistics manual, keep accurate log-book recording, and register fuel and lubricant consumption and handle/operate his assigned vehicle in a proper manner;

• Be responsible for the check-up of engine oil level and proper running of the vehicle assigned to him and report immediately and malfunction for timely servicing and maintenance;

• Follow insurance guidelines and LWF/ET procedures in the event of an accident and fill out the LWF/ET Accident Report accordingly;

• Keep his assigned vehicle always clean & safe according to LWF/ET procedures;

• Not use his assigned vehicle for any other purpose except for the official LWF/ET business;

• Follow procedure as outlined in LWF/DWS-ET Staff Rules, Collective Agreement and other Operation Manuals.

• Perform any other duties as assigned to him by the Project Coordinator or his designate.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• High School complete

• 3rd grade or Public 1 driving license

• Minimum of 3 years driving experience. 

• Experience on repairing vehicles is advantageous

• Relevant on job training is advantageous

• NGO experience is advantageous
