Job Description

The Trade Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and foster stronger engagement with retailers and distributors. This role bridges the gap between marketing and sales by ensuring effective in-store promotions, merchandising, and trade activation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution:

    • Develop and implement trade marketing plans aligned with brand objectives.

    • Design promotional campaigns, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and in-store activations to boost product visibility.

    • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective execution of trade programs.

  2. Retail & Distributor Engagement:

    • Work closely with key retailers, distributors, and wholesalers to optimize product placement and promotions.

    • Conduct market visits to monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities.

    • Train sales teams and trade partners on promotional activities.

  3. Budget & Performance Tracking:

    • Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure cost-effective execution.

    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of trade promotions and provide actionable insights.

    • Prepare reports on trade activities, sales impact, and ROI.

  4. Merchandising & Brand Visibility:

    • Ensure proper branding and merchandising standards across retail outlets.

    • Develop eye-catching POS materials (displays, posters, shelf talkers) to enhance shopper engagement.

    • Coordinate with agencies and vendors for promotional material production.

  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work with Brand Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align trade activities with overall business goals.

    • Provide feedback from the field to improve marketing strategies.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in FMCG.

  • Strong understanding of retail and distributor channels.

  • Ability to develop promotional strategies and POS materials.

  • Excellent negotiation and project management skills
