Job Description

The Brand Manager at East African Lion Brands Manufacturing S.C. is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans to strengthen the company’s brand presence, drive consumer engagement, and increase market share. This role involves overseeing brand positioning, product launches, advertising campaigns, and market research to ensure brand consistency and growth in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Strategy & Positioning:

    • Develop and execute long-term brand strategies aligned with business objectives.

    • Define brand identity, messaging, and value proposition to differentiate from competitors.

    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.

  2. Marketing Campaigns & Promotions:

    • Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital, and social media).

    • Collaborate with creative and media agencies to develop compelling brand communications.

    • Oversee promotional activities, sponsorships, and events to enhance brand visibility.

  3. Product Development & Launches:

    • Work with R&D and sales teams to develop new products or brand extensions.

    • Lead successful product launches, including pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.

    • Conduct post-launch evaluations to measure effectiveness.

  4. Consumer & Market Research:

    • Analyze consumer insights, market data, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.

    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and competitor analysis to refine brand strategies.

  5. Budget Management:

    • Manage the brand’s marketing budget efficiently, ensuring optimal ROI.

    • Track expenditures and adjust strategies to maximize impact.

  6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales, trade marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure brand consistency.

    • Align with digital marketing teams for online brand presence and engagement.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in brand management, preferably in the FMCG industry.

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute brand strategies.

  • Experience in market research, consumer insights, and digital marketing.
