Job Description
KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Store Keeper position.
Responsible for receiving and recording new stock as it comes in, and move stock onto trucks or store shelves as needed; monitor stock levels at the warehouse and know when to replenish stock, and provide advice and required information about the type and stock balance to the chief technician and other concerned staff as required.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Store and handle materials and parts according to specified procedures.
Receive and issue out materials and parts after checking them against appropriate documents such as purchase orders, packing lists, invoices etc.
Request, when necessary, the support of appropriate work units for physical inspections during receiving and unloading materials, and products.
Maintain Bin Cards for all items in store showing information, take notes about any problems associated with that stock, and report it to the concerned work unit for making necessary adjustments.
Arrange a store lay out for materials and parts according to their movement, nature, weight, shape, size etc.
Tag items received before they go into the store according to their nature, size, weight, and movement and safety protection requirements.
Keep store all the time clean, undertake all safety measurements to prevent accident or hazards and use proper material handling systems.
Report when shortages, overages, damages, defects etc. are observed during receiving and afterward.
Ensure that all receiving and issuing of materials and parts are supported by pre- numbered authorized documents.
Sign appropriate documents to confirm that the process of receipt and issuance of materials is carried out as per all company procedures.
Issue items out from store using the same units of measurements used when they were received in order to avoid differences in physical and stock cards.
Advise the Workshop controller to initiate purchase requisitions when items reach the reorder level.
Provide advice and information about the type of materials and parts held in the stock to the chief technician and other concerned staff on a regular basis.
Use proper material handling and safety signs in store during loading, unloading, and moving materials to-and-from store to avoid any risk of damages.
Reconcile physical balances with bin cards regularly by conducting stocktaking.
Keep proper file of used and unused documents for future references and auditing.
Required Number : 1(One)
Qualification : Diploma or B.A. Degree in Supply Chain Management or Management or related field
Work Experience : 6 years for Diploma or 4 Years for B.A. Degree in relevant role
Required Competence :
Communication – both verbal and written
Computer literate with good numeric skills
