Job Vacancy: STEM Teachers for Robotics Camp (2-Month Contract)
Location: Addis Ababa & Oromia Region
Camp Duration: 60 Days (During National School Holidays)

Monthly Salary: 38,000 ETB (Net)

We are looking for passionate and qualified STEM teachers to join our Robotics Camp during the national school holidays. If you are enthusiastic about teaching and technology, this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and possibly transition into a full-time teaching role.

Position

• The Employee is hereby employed as a Robotics Instructor for the Robotics STEM Survey Program (School Holiday 60-Day Project).

Duration of Employment

• This contract is valid for a fixed term of two (2) months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Employee shall:

• Instruct and guide students aged 7–18 in robotics and STEM-related activities.

• Follow the daily program schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

• Prepare and maintain robotics equipment and materials.

• Support student projects and ensure safety during all activities.

• Submit weekly progress reports to the program coordinator.

• Participate in any training provided prior to or during the project.

• Uphold professional conduct and act as a positive role model for students.

Uniform Policy

• The Employee is required to wear the official program T-shirt provided by the Employer, along with black pants during all working hours.

• The uniform must be worn clean and properly each day.

• A non-refundable uniform fee of ETB 950 shall be paid by the Employee. This fee covers the program T-shirt and an official Employee ID card.

Attendance Policy

• Punctuality is mandatory. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• The Employee must sign in and out daily.

• Absences must be communicated in advance and approved by the program coordinator.

• Unexcused absences or habitual tardiness may result in disciplinary action or early termination.

Job Requirements:

Education & Requirements 

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Information Technology or related fields.

• Fresh graduates or candidates with experience who are detail oriented and have a good knowledge in relation to the job title.

Additional Information

• Performance-based Opportunity: Candidates who demonstrate strong teaching skills during the camp will be offered full-time positions at our new Secondary School (Grades 9–12) opening in September 2025

• Training Provided for selected candidates.

• Accommodation is available for those coming from outside Addis Ababa.

Discipline Policy

• The Employee is expected to maintain high standards of professional behavior, respect, and ethics.

• Disruptive behavior, misconduct, or any form of verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated.

• Any violation of school rules or local laws may lead to immediate termination.

• The Employee must act in accordance with child safeguarding policies at all times.

Training

• Training will be provided prior to the start or during the early days of the project as deemed necessary by the Employer.

Compensation

• The Employee shall be paid a net salary of ETB 38,000 (Thirty-Eight Thousand Ethiopian Birr) for every 30 days of service. This amount is inclusive of transportation and telephone allowances.

Termination

• This contract will terminate automatically on September 2025. Either party may terminate this contract with a 7-day written notice in case of breach of agreement, misconduct, or inability to perform duties.

Governing Law

• This contract shall be governed by the labor laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
