Job Title: Senior Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing and Communications
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Manager
Type: Full-Time

Role Purpose

The Senior Graphic Designer at IMS (Infomind Solutions PLC) is a visual storyteller and creative leader responsible for translating IMS’s vision, mission, and Manifesto for Excellence into compelling, high-impact designs. This role supports brand development, campaigns, digital and print media, and internal communication efforts through innovative and people-centric design solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, brings a passion for purposeful creativity, and drives forward a culture of excellence and transformation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Creative Strategy and Concept Development

  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of design projects across digital and print media.

  • Transform IMS’s manifesto and values into visual narratives that elevate brand presence and resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate creative strategies for recruitment campaigns, internal initiatives, workforce development programs, and HR tech solutions.

2. Design Execution and Delivery

  • Produce high-quality visuals including brochures, social media content, infographics, presentations, reports, brand identities, web elements, event collateral, and training materials.

  • Ensure design consistency across all touchpoints in alignment with brand guidelines and IMS’s tone of voice.

  • Oversee the design lifecycle from brief to final execution, maintaining excellence in quality, accuracy, and creativity.

3. Leadership and Mentorship

  • Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative, quality-driven, and growth-oriented team environment.

  • Promote a learning culture by sharing insights on design trends, tools, and techniques aligned with innovation and self-direction.

  • Lead internal design reviews and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.

4. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Talent, Product, and Events teams to ensure design supports strategic goals.

  • Communicate design rationale clearly to internal stakeholders and adjust deliverables based on feedback without compromising design integrity.

  • Partner with external agencies or freelancers when necessary, ensuring deliverables meet IMS standards.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with design trends, tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva), technologies, and branding strategies.

  • Recommend new creative approaches to improve user engagement, design efficiency, and brand visibility.

  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of IMS’s visual identity.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a design or creative agency environment.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects (including branding, digital, print, motion graphics preferred).

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and modern design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.

  • Experience working in a purpose-driven or people-centric organization is a plus.
