Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and inspect food production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and sampling of raw materials, production areas, and finished products.

• Implement and maintain food safety systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).

• Investigate customer complaints and quality issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure that hygiene and sanitation protocols are strictly followed in all food handling areas.

• Keep records of inspections, tests, and food safety documentation as per regulatory requirements.

• Train staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and quality control procedures.

• Liaise with suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

• Develop, review, and update quality control and food safety procedures regularly.

• Monitor storage conditions to prevent contamination and spoilage.

• Stay updated on local and international food safety regulations and trends.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Science and post-harvest technology, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition or a related field with food safety management system certification (ISO 22000, HACCP).

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in food safety, quality control, or a similar role.

Competency

• Knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of local and international food safety regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
