Duties & Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs on construction sites.  The Construction Safety Engineer will ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, investigate incidents, and promote a culture of safety throughout the construction site

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective

• Provide safety training and toolbox talks to construction

• Maintain safety records and

• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address safety concerns

Job Requirement

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

• Certifications: A relevant safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is often preferred.

• Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in construction safety or a related role

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local Ethiopian standards).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to conduct accident investigations and develop corrective actions.

• Proficiency in developing and implementing safety programs.
