Major Duties of the Assistant Focal Person

• Facilitate online meetings and other consultative/training in-person workshops;

• Upgrade and update the website of AEEG’s on regular basis;

• Provide support services for the optimization and/or repair of server, network and storage hardware;

• Provide computer upgrading and maintenance support activities; i.e., undertake regular cleaning, hardware inspections, software updates and patching, backup and recovery testing, disk management, hardware diagnostics and testing, UPS maintenance, temperature and environmental monitoring;

• Ensure that ICT problem recovery is done as quickly as possible and make regular system back-ups;

• Carry out missions for new installations of the software packages and basic repair/maintenance tours of ICT equipment;

• Keeping and managing detailed systematic records of database on facilities as well other projects;

• Assist in preparing annual budget proposals as per the guidelines;

• Mobilizing members networks and play a great role on online registration and update of personal data;

• Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly/biannual/annual activity and financial reports as per the requirements of AEEG;

• Assist in the preparation of the Association’s Workshops/Assemblies, preparation of reports, brochures, newsletter, etc.; and

• Assist in undertaking other related AEEG’s activities as dispensed by the AEEG’s Office Executive Director.

Accountability: The employee shall be accountable to the A.E.E.G.’s Office Executive Director.

Job Requirement

Required Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s and above degree in IT/Computer Science;

• Professional experience in providing IT/Computer related services;

• Excellent communication and reporting skills, fluency in speaking, writing and reading in English and Amharic languages, ability of German language is an advantage;

• Ability to work in a team;

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently;

• Ability to work under strict deadlines/stressful conditions; and

• Six years of work experience related to the field; and

• AEEG Members who fulfill requirements will be given priority.

Terms of employment: Yearly based contract

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Gross Salary: 19,891 ETB with additional insurance and severance benefits.

Salary: As per the scale of AEEG
