Job Description

The Marketing Officer is responsible for implementing the company’s marketing and promotional initiatives, supporting strategic planning efforts, conducting market research, and enhancing customer engagement. This role plays a key part in strengthening brand visibility, supporting business growth strategies, and ensuring alignment between market needs and institutional services.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotional Activities

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns, including brochures, posters, and digital content.

  • Develop communication materials such as press releases and promotional stories.

  • Support brand positioning through media relations and public awareness campaigns.

Market Research & Customer Insights

  • Conduct market assessments to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.

  • Analyze customer behavior and feedback to inform marketing strategies.

  • Monitor competitors to maintain strong market positioning.

Strategic Support

  • Assist in preparing annual and operational marketing plans aligned with institutional goals.

  • Support the development and tracking of marketing KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic performance and progress reports.

Customer Engagement

  • Implement client retention and satisfaction strategies.

  • Support the development and delivery of products and services tailored to client needs.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with broader organizational objectives.

  • Support proposal development and branding elements in fundraising initiatives.

Resource Mobilization

  • Assist in developing compelling proposals and concept notes for donors and partners.

  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to outreach strategies for new partnerships.

  • Support the preparation of pitch materials and background documents for donor engagement.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather data and insights for funding applications.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Management or a related field.

  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in the financial or service sector.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and branding skills

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and campaign design

  • Familiarity with research and data analysis techniques

  • Team player with cross-functional coordination abilities

  • Competency in project management software or statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA)
