We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a manufacturing environment. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance activities, and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting standards, and prior experience in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Manage and analyze manufacturing costs including materials, labor, and overhead.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and inventory records.
Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies.
Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance reporting.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and cost accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
