Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities within the company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost control, effective cash flow management, detailed financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Manager supports strategic decision-making processes to enhance profitability and collaborates closely with operations teams to drive efficiency and financial performance in a heavy industry setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and bank statements.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Manage budget preparation and budgetary control.
Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements.
Supervise and support Senior accounting staff.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
Provide financial advice and support to management for informed decision-making.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of IFRS, ERP systems, and Peachtree is preferred.
