Job Description
Job Title: Legal Officer and Program Reviewer
Location: Addis Ababa
Job Type: Full-Time
The Legal Officer will provide legal advice and support on matters related to media law, contracts, compliance, labor law and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and a solid understanding of media law in Ethiopia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements
● Provide legal advice on media regulations and compliance issues
● Support the management team on corporate governance and legal risk
● Monitor changes in media law and advise on their impact
● Handle intellectual property and copyright matters
● Review all video content prior to broadcast to ensure legal compliance
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
● Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a legal officer or related role.
● Knowledge of Ethiopian media law and regulatory environment.
● Experience in the media industry is a plus.
● Strong analytical and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
