To lead and manage all digital communication platforms, including website and social media, support and follow up all IT operations in ISD, and develop high-quality digital content (photo, video, and graphic design) that supports ISD’s vision, mission and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities of the officer

1. Website management: Maintain and update ISD’s website, ensure the functionality, security, and user engagement of the website, upload new contents (ISD’s newsletters, media like video and photos), analyze website traffic and work on to optimize its performance.

2. Social media management Manage day-to-day content creation and posting on platforms such as Facebook, Telegram, YouTube and other media, monitor users’ engagement, analyze the performance and impact of social media activities and prepare monthly reports, create social media campaigns for awareness, advocacy, events, and fundraising.

3. Graphic Design: Design visual content for digital and print media, including banners, brochures, posters, calendars, flyers; all event materials, create and design for social media and the organization’s website

4. Photography, Videography, Editing: Capture high-quality photos and videos at events, field works, workshops, produce short video documentaries, blog posts for the websites and social media platforms, edit footage using professional tools to create compelling content, use video editing software to produce polished and engaging content for various platforms, add subtitles, effects, and graphics where needed and produce videos from ISD archives for the organization’s website and social media platforms to optimize the organizations visibility.

5. IT Management and Support: Manage the organization’s IT systems including computers, internet, printers, and networks, troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner, ensure regular backups, data collections like back to office reports, photos taken from fields provide technical support to staff and manage licenses for software, follow up the organization’s internet, Wi-Fi and website networks to ensure it functions well. This involves communicating with internet service providers.

Job Requirement

• Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or related field, professional certifications in IT, multimedia production, or digital marketing is an advantage.

• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the NGO sector, proven experience in website, social media platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), experience with IT troubleshooting and basic networking.

• Skills & Competencies: Strong photography and video production/editing skills, excellent design skills proficient in social media analytics and scheduling tools, basic HTML/CSS knowledge is an asset, strong organizational and multitasking skills, ability to work independently and in a team, passion for social impact and understanding of NGO work, excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills both in English and Amharic.
