YAFCO Trading PLC are  seeking a Junior Accountant for (Mattot Cafe).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Record daily sales (cash/card) and expenses 

• Post journal entries for payments, receipts, payroll allocations, etc. 

• Manage petty cash and reconcile daily cash tills

• Prepare and submit monthly P&L statements and variance analyses to the Chief Accountant

• Generate weekly sales and cost reports for the Cafe Manager

• Track food & beverage inventory levels and costs

• Calculate cost‑of‑goods‑sold (COGS) for menu items

• Investigate and report on variances between standard and actual costs

• Ensure adherence to Ethiopian tax (ERCA) regulations for the division

• Support external/internal audits by providing schedules and documentation

• Identify and recommend process improvements for transaction recording and inventory racking

• Assist in implementation of new cafe‑specific financial controls

• Coordinate with procurement on invoice matching and supplier payments

• Support Head Office finance team during month‑end and year‑end close 

Job Requirements

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 

• Required 1–2 years Experience in Hospitality industry (cafe/restaurant)
