We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team. As a distributor agent for SIM cards, airtime, EBD, and related Safaricom products, we require an auditor who understands the dynamics of  distribution and digital product handling. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Conduct regular internal audits across all operational areas: SIM stock, airtime distribution, EBD platform transactions, dealer accounts, and financial records.

•  Verify and reconcile digital stock (EBD balances) and physical SIM inventories.

•  Monitor and audit the sale and distribution flow of SIM cards, airtime, scratch cards, and top-up systems.

•  Review daily and monthly sales reports, commission payouts, agent transactions, and dealer settlements.

•  Ensure compliance with internal policies, Safaricom regulatory requirements, and partner agreements (e.g., mobile operators).

•  Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps, fraud risks, and recommend practical improvements.

•  Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.

•  Track and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.

•  Ensure all digital transactions are accurately recorded, authorized, and properly reconciled

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing; experience in digital sales environments is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of digital product distribution, airtime platforms, and SIM lifecycle management.

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with audit tools, ERP/accounting systems, and reporting systems.

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Strong ethics, confidentiality, and ability to handle sensitive data.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Preferred Experience:

•  Experience working with mobile operators or  distributors.

•  Knowledge of EBD systems,  commission structures, and dealer networks.
