ONIVERSE Group, is an Italian company founded in Italy Verona, producing, and selling garment products (lingerie, easy wear, sock and more) recently operating across the world such as Europe, South America, Asia, and Middle East. Aiming to pursue a continuous global expansion, our company had setting up a production plant in Tigray Mekelle, Ashegoda Area, under the name of “ITACA TEXTILE PLC” and requires competent employees for the following vacant positions.

JOB SUMMARY:

A maintenance manager can be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of an organization's facilities, equipment, and machinery. Their duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including planning and scheduling maintenance activities, managing budgets, supervising staff, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing maintenance processes to minimize downtime and costs. Involved inEngineering design, installing and repairing electrical panel boards/electronic systems, and as well as industrial automations systems. (BMS, PLCs VSD). This includes the ability to understand and maintain pneumatic/hydraulics systems. knowledge of wastewater treatment plants and RO plants added advantage. The Maintenance engineer undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering / machinery equipment or plants and Electromechanical Systems. The work involves checking, repairing, and servicing machinery, equipment, systems, and Electrical infrastructures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The work typically involves:

• Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation

• Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening to problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments 

• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

• Ensures operation of machinery, Electrical systems, and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Perform duties for Power cable termination, Low voltage cable termination, Installation of medium voltage cables, lighting fixtures, wiring devices & panel boards and Industrial Electrical works.

• Maintenance of all electrical equipment / machines.

• Ensuring safety requirements are always met and compliance with health and safety legislation.

• responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• Education: BSC Degree or above in mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields

• Work experience: above 8 years of Proven experience as maintenance manager or another managerial role with relevant  operational experience in international companies preferably related industry experience.

• Excellent communication of verbal, written and interpersonal skills. 

• Working well under pressure

• Relevant technical knowledge

• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
