ABYS Trading PLC is the leading Manufacturing Company of Ethiopia which manufactures agriculture products both for local and international markets. This effort has allowed it to start to generate foreign currency and create job opportunity for 600 Ethiopian youths. Now it is seeking a qualified FSMS documentation officer. Overall, she/he will record and document all system required documents for the implementation of FSMS ISO 22000:2018 and FSSC 22000: 2018. In essence, an FSMS Documentation Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of a company's food safety management system by managing and maintaining all related documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creating, reviewing, and managing various food safety documents, including policies, procedures, records, and forms.
Organizing and maintaining an effective document control system, ensuring documents are readily accessible and up-to-date.
Implementing and managing electronic filing systems for efficient document storage and retrieval
Ensuring proper document control procedures are followed, including version control and document distribution.
Maintaining and updating the company's documentation baseline.
Compliance and Audits
Ensuring all food safety documentation complies with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP)
Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Identifying and addressing any compliance gaps or risks related to documentation.
Communication and Training:
Serving as a point of contact for documentation-related inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
Providing training and guidance to staff on proper documentation procedures and the use of the FSMS.
Working with colleagues to ensure consistency in documentation practices across the organization.
Required Skill
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Proficiency in using documentation management systems and software.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP).
Experience in document control and record management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
