The AICU Head Nurse is a senior-level registered nurse responsible for overseeing the operations, staffing, and clinical care provided in the Adult Intensive Care Unit. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
Lead and manage nursing staff in the AICU, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
Monitor patient outcomes, staff performance, and unit efficiency to ensure excellence in critical care delivery.
Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and procurement of critical care equipment and supplies.
The NICU Head Nurse is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and management of nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care to critically ill and premature newborns. The NICU Head Nurse provides clinical and administrative oversight, supervises nursing staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in neonatal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the NICU, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
Supervise, coach, and support NICU nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Monitor and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards.
Participate in policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and staff education.
Manage resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Surgical Support Service Head Nurse
Position Summary
The Surgical Support Service Head Nurse is a senior-level registered nurse responsible for overseeing the operations, staffing, and clinical care provided in the Operating Room (OR) suite. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered surgical care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
Lead and manage nursing staff in the Surgical Support Service, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Ensure adherence to surgical protocols, sterile technique, infection control policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and other interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care throughout the peroperative process.
Monitor patient outcomes, staff performance, and OR efficiency to ensure excellence in surgical care delivery and optimize OR utilization.
Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to surgical services.
Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and procurement of surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Oversee the maintenance of a sterile environment and the proper functioning of all OR equipment.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and efficiency in the Surgical Support Service.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in the Surgical Support Service suite in a timely and effective manner.
Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for OR staff.
Educational Requirements
Nursing Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent degree
Experience
Clinical Experience: Usually requires several years (5+ years) of experience in critical care nursing.
Leadership Experience: (2+ years) experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a hospital setting.
Certifications
Critical Care Certification: Certification such as the CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) is highly desirable or may be required.
Basic and Advanced Life Support: Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Professional license
