TaYA is implements multifaceted youth empowerment initiatives aiming to enable youth to lead economically productive lives, participate in governance, and contribute to sustainable peace and development.
Position Title= Employability and Enterprise Development Coordinator
Reports to=Project Coordinator
Location= Debrebirhan and Tarmaber with 25% travel to 8 other woredas of North shewa zone, Amhara Region
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Employability and Enterprise Development Coordinator to join our team. As a leading youth livelihood diversification and economic empowerment organization, we are committed to promoting sustainable and efficient youth livelihood practices.
Foster meaningful community engagement and build trust with local stakeholders.
Continuously identify viable agri-business opportunities for youth-led MSEs and wage employment across the target regions and project sites.
Coordinate the delivery of foundational life, business, and technical skills training for young women and men, aligned with labor market demand and in collaboration with training providers and employers.
Proactively identify enterprises and relevant actors to host apprenticeships and on-the-job training placements.
Facilitate tailored business skills development for youth-led MSEs, including training on soft skills, financial literacy, and digital competencies.
Support access to business development services to enhance the viability and growth of youth enterprises.
Establish linkages between youth-led MSEs and selected financial institutions to support access to finance.
Facilitate and support the process of business start-up for aspiring young entrepreneurs.
Strengthen the capacity of youth-led MSEs through ongoing coaching, mentoring, and technical support.
Promote and professionalize market linkages to ensure sustainable and profitable business connections.
Undertake all necessary actions to ensure that the jobs created are decent, inclusive, and fulfilling.
Ensure timely and accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of project data.
Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of key project learnings and best practices.
Education:
A bachelor's degree preferably M.SC in the field (s) such as: Business, Business Administration, economics, marketing, Agri business, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Community development and adult education, Finance, Rural development, and/or related courses.
Experience:
Minimum four to five years’ experience in enterprise development, agri business development, youth employment and livelihoods, marketing, microenterprise development, community based financial service, microfinance.
Good facilitation skills
Experience of working in NGOs; and communities at grass root level are advantageous.
Understanding of enterprise and value chain/agri business development.
Strong networking, partnership and interpersonal skills
Training planning and delivery skills.
Excellent understanding of the culture and ways of living of target communities
Speaks the local language fluently
