Job Description

Responsible to: - The General Manager. 

A Finance Manager for a GYM and Rental Business would oversee all financial aspects, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing profitability. The Manager would also be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and making recommendations to management. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the GYM and Rental Business.

  • Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecast future financial performance, and analyze variances.

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and make recommendations to management.

  • Cash Management: Manage cash flow, monitor accounts receivable and payable, and ensure adequate liquidity.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and other interested parties.

  • Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations.

  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.

  • System Implementation: Develop and maintain financial reporting systems, including accounting software and databases. 

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a financial management role.

  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling and forecasting.

  • Budgeting: Experience in developing and managing budgets.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software and spreadsheets.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team.
