Job Summary:- an Artificial Inseminator Technician Expert at Oro-Meat is responsible for executing advanced breeding practices aimed at improving meat yield, quality, and livestock productivity. This role ensures alignment with animal welfare standards and Oro-Meat’s quality assurance protocols, while supporting genetic improvement through data-driven selection and insemination techniques. The expert collaborates closely with meat processing teams, maintains detailed records, and promotes sustainable breeding strategies to enhance overall production efficiency and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance for Meat Production:

   • Ensure that breeding and insemination practices align with Oro Meat's quality standards for livestock intended for meat production.

   • Monitor the health and growth of animals post-insemination to ensure optimal meat yield and quality.

2. Genetic Improvement for Meat Yield:

   • Collaborate with genetic experts to select sires that enhance meat quality, yield, and market value.

   • Maintain detailed records of genetic traits to support continuous improvement in livestock breeding programs.

3. Animal Welfare Compliance:

   • Ensure all insemination and breeding activities comply with animal welfare standards and regulations specific to meat production.

   • Train staff on humane handling practices to minimize stress and maximize productivity.

4. Coordination with Meat Processing Teams:

   • Work closely with the meat processing department to align breeding schedules with production timelines.

   • Provide updates on expected calving dates and livestock readiness for processing.

5. Data-Driven Decision Making:

   • Utilize data analytics to track breeding success rates, growth metrics, and meat yield outcomes.

   • Prepare reports that link breeding performance to meat production efficiency and profitability.

6. Sustainability Practices:

   • Implement breeding strategies that support sustainable meat production, such as optimizing feed-to-meat conversion ratios.

   • Monitor and report on the environmental impact of breeding activities.

7. Training for Meat Production Goals:

   • Train junior technicians and herders on breeding techniques that prioritize meat quality and yield.

   • Conduct workshops on the importance of genetic selection and animal care in achieving Oro Meat's production targets.

8. Inventory Management for Meat-Specific Supplies:

   • Ensure adequate stock of semen and supplies tailored to breeds optimized for meat production.

   • Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality breeding materials.

Job Requirements

Education

• Certified in Artificial Insemination from a recognized agricultural or veterinary institution.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience in livestock breeding or meat-focused production settings.

Skill 

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis.
