Job Description

Job Description: The Deputy General Manager will assist the General Manager in leading the daily operations of the hotel, covering departments such as front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. The role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, staff development, budget management, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Deputy General Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence and will represent the General Manager when required

Role and Responsibility: The Deputy General Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising hotel departments to ensure seamless daily operations, high service standards, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting department heads, overseeing budget execution and performance monitoring, implementing quality assurance programs, and improving guest satisfaction scores. The role also includes handling staff development, ensuring compliance with company policies, and acting as General Manager in their absence

Job Requirement

  • Qualification & Skills: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage. Candidates must have at least ten (10) years of progressive experience in hotel operations, including a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management role within a five-star hotel environment. Strong financial and operational management skills, leadership abilities, and familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Materials Control, or similar inventory management tools etc.).

  • Fluency in English, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence are also required.
