 Position Overview

GS Construction Company Ltd. is seeking an experienced and qualified Internal Auditor to join the CEO Office and lead independent audits across operational and financial domains. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in corporate auditing, risk management, and regulatory compliance, and will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO.

The role requires a results-driven professional with at least 15 years of auditing experience, a Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, and ACCA certification. Prior work in construction, engineering, or infrastructure settings is highly desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across departments

• Evaluate internal controls, risk management strategies, and financial reporting systems

• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for the CEO

• Identify gaps, fraud risks, and irregularities through forensic review and data analysis

• Monitor adherence to local and international regulatory standards, including IFRS and donor protocols

• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and legal teams for cross-functional assessments

• Advise on internal control improvements and efficiency strategies

• Track resolution of audit findings and follow up on corrective actions

• Support corporate governance and board reporting with high-level insight

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (MSc) in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field

• ACCA Certified (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

• Minimum 15 years of progressive internal audit experience, preferably in large corporations or infrastructure sectors

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, compliance frameworks, and auditing tools

• Proven experience in board-level reporting and executive risk advisory

• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills

• High integrity and ability to handle confidential matters discreetly

• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel reporting, and audit software
