ECF Medical Device Import was founded in 2025 and is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We have a team of over 10 professionals, including management roles, and focus on importing and distributing high-quality medical devices for emergency, ICU, and laboratory use.

Salary; Negotiable 

The accountant will manage the company’s financial records and ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Candidates should have 2-4 years of accounting or finance and Office Administration experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting tasks, such as cash transactions and accounts payable/receivable. 

• Keep financial records updated, including ledgers, journals, and invoices. 

• Prepare payroll and handle timely payments and receipts. 

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with IFRS and Ethiopian regulations. Report these to the Ethiopian revenue ministry on time. 

• File tax returns correctly and on time, following tax regulations. 

• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable. 

• Support financial audits with necessary documentation. 

• Handle custom clearance tasks, including following up on progress and processing payments accurately. 

• Work with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. 

• Stay informed about accounting standards, regulations, and best practices. 

• Assist with office administration tasks and provide weekly activity reports.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting (experience in an import company is a plus). 

• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). 

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 

• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
