Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly/yearly financial statements (IFRS)
Submit reports to Ethiopian Revenue & Customs Authority (ERCA), and regulators
Ensure adherence to Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, TOT, payroll taxes)
Lead month-end and annual closings, reconciliations, and payroll processing
Handle intercompany transactions across branches
Coordinate internal/external audits (liaise with auditors)
Maintain internal controls per Ethiopian standards
Train and supervise junior accountants
Implement process improvements
Job Requirements
Education: BA in Accounting/Finance
Experience: 5+ years (3+ in PLC/large Ethiopian corporation)
Required No.: 1
Expertise in Ethiopian tax/compliance (ERP: Peachtree and others preferred)
Advanced Excel; fluency in Amharic & English
Strong analytical and leadership skills
