DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government, bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs: the Child Well-being and Education Development Program, the Gender and Life Skill Development Program, the Employable Skills Development Program, the Advocacy Program, and the Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.  DEC would like to recruit for the following positions: Project Coordinator, Education in Emergency EiE Project Officer, Social Worker/Community Mobilizer, Meal Officer, Gender and Inclusive Officer, Finance Coordinator,  Woreda Caher, and Guard

Guard 

An office guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the workplace by monitoring access points, verifying visitor credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity.

Specific Role and Responsibility

• Patrols and maintains the security of the office premises, compound, equipment, vehicles, material resources, etc. 

•  Handles the entrance and exit of visitors (guests) and their vehicles.

•  Controls and cares for the property of the office and reports on irregularities.

•  Performs any other related duties of a permanent and temporary nature that may be assigned to him/her.

• protect property and tenants from theft, damage, trespassing, or accidents

• provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security

Job Requirements

Education Qualification 

• Grade 8 completion is a minimum  

NGO/CSO Experience

• 2 Year
