Job Description
DEC is a local CSO established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 as per the new Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government, bearing a registration number of 0009. The organization has five major programs: the Child Well-being and Education Development Program, the Gender and Life Skill Development Program, the Employable Skills Development Program, the Advocacy Program, and the Humanitarian Emergency Program. DEC actively works in six National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.
DEC would like to recruit for the following positions: Project Coordinator, Education in Emergency EiE Project Officer, Social Worker/Community Mobilizer, Meal Officer, Gender and Inclusive Officer, Finance Coordinator, Woreda Caher, and Guard

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning MEL Officer
Ensuring that programs are effectively tracked, evaluated, and improved based on evidence and community feedback. They design and implement systems to monitor progress, assess impact, and uphold accountability standards, including complaint and feedback mechanisms. By analyzing data and facilitating learning across teams, the MEL Officer helps strengthen program quality, inform decision-making, and promote transparency and inclusion throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in situation analysis studies and contribute to program design; ensure data collection, analysis, and documentation of learnings; evaluate project impact and efficiency;
Implement complaint and feedback mechanisms.
Coordinate with program teams and partner staff; ensure quality assurance and continuous learning.
Preparing and timely submitting all project-related reports and documents.
Education Qualification
BA Measurement and Evaluation; Statistics,
NGO/CSO Experience
3 Year
Additional Skills
Good Experience with PME L Skills;
Good communication skills in teamwork, team mobilizations, and partnership management;
Experience in facilitating research, assessments, best practice capturing, and working with communities
Good report writing, use of technology application skills
