Job Description

PSS TRADING PLC is established by five Banks and Premier Switch Solutions (PSS), which is a leading provider of payment technology solutions in Ethiopia. At the moment, the company has focused on offering a range of products and services, including blank cards, ATM Terminals, POS terminals, Software solutions, IT infrastructure supply, electronic office equipment, computer, Security and network devices as well as Technology consulting and training. Currently, the PSS trading PLC has vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for this job.

Description of Duties

  • Devise and take lead in the implementation of the technology and trading entity’ presale, sales strategy in line with overall growth strategy of the business

  • Develop and implement new business initiatives geared towards driving sales

  • Establish a process to regularly visit customer to understand comprehensive market demand analysis encompassing market segmentation, competitor analysis, trend forecasting, customer needs assessment, regulatory compliance, SWOT analysis, market positioning, distribution channel evaluation, pricing strategies, and market expansion opportunities. 

  • Leverage market insights to tailor marketing strategies, product offerings, and brand positioning, can effectively target customer segments, differentiate from competitors, and identify growth opportunities for sustainable success in the trading sector. 

  • Aline the trading initiatives with market demands, enhance competitiveness, and drive strategic decision-making to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the dynamic trading landscape. 

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize terms and conditions for the company and monitor vendor performance and address any issues that arise.

  • Supervise and review the performance of the vendor and customers relationship management team to ensure maximum contribution of the team in the achievement of sales targets

  • Responsible for regular reviews of the technology and trading entity’s sales strategy in place to establish its effectiveness and make remedial action as required

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with overall business goals

  • Maintain and regularly update technology and trading sales pipeline and ensure regular tracking process to convert leads into sales 

  • Respond to queries from vendors and customers on products offered by the Technology and Trading entity

  • Foster a good relationship with new and existing clients in order to create repeated sales and a robust network

  • Set and allocate lead, sales target to the Officers in line with the sales strategy to ensure maximum revenue generation

  • Prepare periodic reports on the performance of the Division to inform decision making

  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time 

Job Requirements

Qualification & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Management, ICT or related field.

  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience.

  • Experience in sales (vendor and customer relationship) function
