Main Responsibilities

• To support the company in implementing and maintaining a Health & Safety management system, serve as a domain expert on safety systems/standards, and create a safety culture.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Identify and develop specific Health & Safety (HS) guidelines relevant to the company's businesses 

• Conducting health and safety audits and preparing reports for OpEx.

• Ability to identify key gap areas on technical and management aspects necessary to achieve zero accident status. 

• Develop and execute appropriate interventions for all categories of employees to address the above gap areas.

• Develop and conduct specialized training to address the identified gaps in the safety system

• Develop appropriate lead indicators to monitor the effectiveness of interventions to achieve desired outcomes.

• Advise senior managers on safety and needed actions to achieve company goals concerning EHS. 

• Carry out methodical and scientific accident investigations to identify root causes and initiate appropriate management action.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills 

• BA/BSc Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of progressive experience in workplace safety, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings.

• Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in implementing safety systems and practices in multinational and compliance-driven environments.

• Strong skills in risk assessment, hazard identification, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

• Ability to design and deliver effective safety training modules across various operational levels.

• Proven ability to engage cross-functional teams and drive a strong safety culture.

• Proactive, energetic, and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

Required Differentiating Competencies

(Behaviors, skills, and attitudes required for success in the role)

• Experience in conducting & training on risk assessment, developing safe work procedures, job observation, safety culture, internal audits, root cause analysis, etc. 

• Strong communicator in both written and spoken English.

• Good leadership skills and ability to spearhead the science-based approach to safety engineering and safety culture across the organization. 

• Should be a good learner and willing to innovate and accept new ideas

• Should have a personal drive and passion for Safety
