Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting a company's financial transactions and maintaining accurate records of Stock within the depot, ensure accurate record-keeping, tax compliance, and overall financial well-being.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure daily stock balance are correctly computed and readily available for required purpose
Operating gain/loss are timely detecting and high variation is immediately reported for investigation and action
Perform daily physical stock reconciliation of fuel tanks through dipping
Monitor product levels in storage tanks, ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent stock outs or overfills, and coordinating with the Fleet team for timely replenishments
Oversee the safe and accurate receipt of incoming fuel deliveries, verifying quantities, inspecting for quality, and ensuring proper documentation.
Monitor and record product movements (receipts, issues, transfers) with precision, ensuring all transactions are captured.
Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports, including stock movements, variances, and reconciliation summaries.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Computing taxes, preparing and filing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting regulations
Reconciling bank statements, accounts, and other financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Senior Accountant
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
