Job Description
We are a growing company in Ethiopia seeking a detail-oriented and professional Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian accounting standards, and supporting the company’s financial growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and reports
Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, including VAT, Withholding, and Income Tax filings
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial transactions
Provide timely financial reports to management for decision-making
Work with auditors and regulatory bodies as required
Support day-to-day finance operations and recommend process improvements
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of proven accounting experience (experience in Ethiopia preferred)
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail, integrity, and reliability
Strong communication skills in English and Amharic
