Job Description

Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated organization launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 01, 2023. Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2025. It’s thus looking to engage dynamic Ethiopian talent to ensure the achievement of its goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Backlog & Requirements

    • Translate business needs and operational feedback into clear product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

    • Maintain and refine the product backlog for battery swapping and related apps.

  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with software developers, designers, and operations teams to ensure features are delivered on time and match requirements.

    • Act as a bridge between field operations (stations, riders) and the tech team to capture user insights.

  3. Continuous Improvement at Global Standards

    • Drive product improvements with speed and precision, aiming for international best-in-class quality.

    • Proactively identify and prioritize enhancements based on data, customer feedback, and operational challenges.

  4. Testing & Quality

    • Organize and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) before product launches or updates.

    • Monitor post-release performance and address issues promptly.

  5. Product Documentation & Communication

    • Maintain clear documentation for product requirements, release notes, and workflows.

    • Keep all stakeholders aligned on product progress, changes, and timelines.

  6. Flexibility & Support

    • Perform any other duties, projects, or tasks as instructed per business need, to support the success of the battery swapping and technology teams.

Job Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in leading discussions.

  • Solid understanding of how digital products are developed (can be from QA, tech support, scrum master, developer, or similar role).

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Eagerness to learn product management tools and methods.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • 2+ years in a tech-related role (QA, scrum master, project coordinator, software developer, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Experience with tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar.

  • Experience in mobility, logistics, or battery-related industries.
