Dodai Manufacturing Plc (Dodai), is a recently incorporated organization launched in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 01, 2023. Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2025. It’s thus looking to engage dynamic Ethiopian talent to ensure the achievement of its goals. 

The Liaison Officer (Rider) will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery and collection of goods using electric bikes within Addis Ababa and Sheger City Administration. The rider will also support operational logistics by ensuring packages are handled properly, delivery routes are optimized, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Dodai’s e-bikes to complete daily delivery and collection tasks.

  • Use the company’s mobile app to record all battery movements between swapping stations and the factory in real time.

  • Scout and report 10–15 potential battery swapping station locations per month that meet the criteria provided by the Battery Swap Station Network Expansion team.

  • Follow scheduled transport routes and time plans provided by the battery swapping operations or logistics team.

  • Ensure timely delivery of packages, spare parts, or documents to clients, partners, and internal teams.

  • Collect items from suppliers or vendors as instructed and report delivery status to the relevant department.

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries using mobile or paper-based tracking tools.

  • Follow company policies and traffic rules to ensure personal and public safety.

  • Perform basic e-bike checks daily (battery, brakes, lights, tire pressure) and report any maintenance needs.

  • Maintain proper cleanliness of the vehicle assigned to him/her as per guidance provided by the company

  • Support logistics and warehouse teams with loading/unloading tasks when needed.

  • Assist the Engineering and Repair & Maintenance teams in testing activities for existing and new models of bikes

  • Immediately report any incidents, delays, or operational issues to the supervisor.

  • Carry out any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Requirement

  • High school diploma or above.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a delivery rider.

  • Familiar with use of smartphone and mobile apps

  • Valid Motorcycle driver’s license.

  • Strong knowledge of Addis Ababa streets and traffic patterns.

  • Physically fit and comfortable with extended outdoor work.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and reliability.

  • Basic understanding of mobile apps for delivery tracking (preferred).
