Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting / Auditing
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Assist with month-end VAT & Withholding payments and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and prepare journal entries.
Manage cash register machine, print out daily receipts, and prepare Z Reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Maraki2ERP, Excel).
Identify any discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
Keep up to date and inform the team of any new related policies, or tax rules.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
Proven experience (2+ years) in financial accounting and/or auditing for importers or exporters
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Maraki2ERP, Excel)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficient in English & Amharic.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent certification.
Familiarity with tax regulations and financial risk assessment.
