Job Description
Supervising workshop staff day to day activities and providing feedback to motivate them
Maintaining a clean and safe workshop, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing safety breaches
Planning maintenance schedules, prioritizing work, and reallocating workshop resources as needed
Maintaining service and maintenance schedules and programs, and ensuring they are carried out on time
Conducting quality assurance testing on completed work
Developing training plans and organizing training for staff
Dealing with stock control issues
Negotiating with customers about service issues
Working with manufacturers and machine suppliers to manage warranty claims
Reviewing inspection and maintenance records to ensure accurate information is compiled for reporting
BSC Degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
5 - 8 years proven experience in Workshop Supervision
In depth knowledge of principles of Gasoline and Diesel engines, vehicles, equipment & automotive technologies
In depth knowledge of Vehicles & equipment specifications
Basic computer operation, diagnostic maintenance computer software
Knowledge of occupational hazards, standard safety precautions
Effective communications, interpersonal and supervisory skills
