Duties and Responsibilities

● Monitor and manage the flow of materials from suppliers to storage areas and operation lines.

● Ensure that materials are received, inspected, and stored according to company standards and procedures.

● Coordinate with operation and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

● Lead the movement of materials between locations, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking.

● Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting regular counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating inventory records.

● Store materials in designated locations with proper labeling and accessibility.

● Monitor stock levels of critical materials, alerting the Inventory and Materials Management Manager to potential shortages or overstock situations.

● Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy in reporting.

● Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve issues related to order discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt of materials.

● Collaborate with logistics providers and arrange transportation and delivery of materials.

● Track and manage incoming shipments, updating relevant stakeholders on the status and expected delivery times.

● Address any issues related to damaged or incomplete deliveries, working with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve them.

● Handle materials safely and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

● Implement and enforce best practices for materials handling, including proper lifting techniques, use of equipment, and storage procedures.

● Maintain a clean and organized materials storage area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing the risk of accidents.

● Train and supervise staff involved in materials handling, ensuring that they understand and follow safety guidelines.

● Maintain accurate records of all materials transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issues, in the company’s inventory management system.

● Ensure that all materials management activities comply with company policies.

● Prepare and submit required documentation for materials management activities, including reports, logs, and audit records.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience.
