Oversees the budgeting process and performs financial analysis, create forecasts to ensure financial alignment with the overall business strategy and help the company’s leadership team make data-driven decisions

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development, Implementation and enhancement of financial models and analyses to support strategic decision making

• Prepare detailed annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts that align with the company’s goals and objectives

• Monitoring and tracking financial performance against the plan and analyzing financial data to inform business decisions and strategies

• Collaborate with various business units to gather and analyse financial data, providing insights into key performance indicators and trends

• Produce regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting financial performance and offering actionable recommendations.

• Consolidation of each company performance reporting and production of periodic management reporting, budgets, and forecasts and consolidation of interim and year end external reports 

• Ensuring the company complies with all regulatory requirements regarding financial reports

• Taking ownership of the Group’s multi- currency consolidation process for both monthly internal management and statutory purpose.

• Analyses companies’ financial risks and potential exposure through rigorous review of the financial performance s

• Support on a variety of ad hoc projects required.

• Any other tasks may be required from time to time

COMPETENCIES: - 

Functional competency 

Functional knowledge of manufacturing finance, Inventory & cost accounting is a must with minimum of 5 years of experience with FMCG background.  Experience in a supervisory role is mandatory.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Experience: 

• MSc in Finance and Accounting/MBA /Qualified Accountant 

• 5 years financial, commercial & market experience in accounting/analytical roles with FMCG sector experience and experience of managing teams.   

• Excellent command of Microsoft excel, Power point

• Strong finance reporting and analytical skills

• Budgeting & Forecasting for multiple business units

• Good internal/external communicator being able to build strong relationships, influencing and presenting at a senior level   Desirable

• Working experience in Ethiopia

• Knowledge of local market environment & trends, government policy and regulatory requirements
