Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Organize & plan Manpower need,

  2. Work with the hiring managers to develop job descriptions and announcements which reflects responsibilities and qualifications that are appropriate for the title of the position.

  3. Establish a strong report with hiring managers at headquarters and in field offices to develop a talent management strategy to fill all vacancies in a timely manner. 

  4. Ensure clear mutual understanding of staffing priorities and practical constraints. 

  5. Guide the hiring managers through the talent management process where needed.

  6. Post Vacancy advertisements in a variety of Job Posting sites, Screen/review online applications evaluating such factors as job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge, and ability and develop a short list of potential candidates to forward to the hiring managers.

  7. Coordinate pre-employment test schedules and conduct applicant preliminary interviews (in person and/or on the phone).

  8. Present fully screened, qualified candidates to hiring managers in a timely manner.

  9. Review candidate qualifications with hiring managers. Facilitate applicant interviews with hiring managers (in person and/or on the phone).

  10. Arrange travel and lodging (domestic) for interview applicants, as needed.

  11. Manage candidate interview results and selection decision with hiring manager. Provide candidates feedback on interview results.

  12. Complete a background check, reference check & educational document authentication as required.

  13. Manage offer process and negotiate compensation package including salary, start date and allowances.

  14. Prepare offer letter/employment agreement for signature by hiring manager, candidate and others as appropriate.

  15. Send candidate human resources orientation documents to complete and return to the human resources department.

  16. Submit all candidate information (resume, employment application, exam and interview result etc. to the HR Service for on-boarding.

  17. Continuously updating the status to the HR Manager and Hiring Manager.

  18. Provide support in managing the applicant flow and maintaining applicant flow statistical data.

  19. Maintain database of qualified professionals to rapidly respond to talent management needs.

  20. Maintain all recruitment paper and electronic files including postings for all open positions.

  21. Build partnership relationship with various educational institutions 

  22. Follow-up of probationary period and provide Confirmation of Permanent employment letter.

  23. Facilitation & follow up of Employee movement (transfer, demotion, promotion & termination)

  24.  Employment Contract Administration (renewable periodic contract, temporary employment …)

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of HR principles, office procedures and practices & Ethiopian labor law;

  • Excellent in all office package and other software usage skill.

  • Excellent communication skill, persuading, negotiating and presentation skill.

  • Excellent skill / fluency in writing and spoken language in English and Amharic is mandatory.

  • Proposals making & presentation skills are mandatory,

  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, punctuality are required;

  • Principled personality, and able to complete without close supervision.

  • Confidentiality, honesty, quality of work are from very important skills.

  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once; ability to maintain good working relationship.

  • Skill how to organize & facilitate team function and to create well oriented team environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  •  Full-time, permanent position.

  • Fast-paced work environment with occasional extended hours to meet KPI

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or MA in HRM, Management, Public Administration or in any related social science field of study; and

  • 6 and above years’ experiences in HR Mgt., out of which years must be on similar Recruitment Manager or HR Manager position;
