Position Title: Regional Project Coordinator

Location: Central Gondar, Amhara Region, Ethiopia

Employment Type: Temporary-Duty-Contract with the Possibility of Extension 

Reports to: Program Manager / Head office

Application Deadline: August 19, 2025

Start Date: Immediately after the contract is signed 

Faith in Action (FIA) is a legally registered local CSO established in 2010 G.C. and re-registered in 2019 under proclamation No.1113/2019. FIA empowers children, women, and youth through programs focused on health, education, and economic resilience, working toward an equitable, and sustainable future for Ethiopia.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Office Coordinator to lead and oversee our regional operations in Central Gondar.

The Regional Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and administrative management of project activities at the Central Gondar site. Key responsibilities include overseeing program implementation, engaging with partners and stakeholders, managing logistics, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, and supporting staff performance and well-being. The project will be implemented in West Belesa and Kinfaz Begela woredas, Amhara Region, Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage regional office operations and logistics.

  • Provide administrative and technical support to project teams in the region.

  • Ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities in accordance with organizational standards.

  • Supervise and support regional staff, including performance management and capacity building.

  • Represent the organization at regional meetings, clusters, and forums as needed.

  • Ensure proper use of organizational assets and maintain up-to-date inventory records.

  • Prepare and submit timely reports (programmatic and administrative) to the head office.

  • Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and government regulations and procedures.

  • Facilitate visits from partners, donors, and auditors to the regional office or project sites.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree is an asset.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, administration, or office management, preferably with NGOs.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage teams.

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills in English and Amharic.

  • Excellent email writing skills.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of the Amhara regional context is highly desirable.

  • Proficient in MS word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.
