Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reviewing purchasing habits, identifying trends, and analyzing data to pinpoint areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Assessing supplier capabilities, performance, and reliability to ensure quality and value.
Working with suppliers to negotiate favorable contract terms, including pricing, delivery, and other key aspects.
Creating and implementing strategies to reduce costs throughout the procurement process, such as through bulk purchasing or finding alternative suppliers.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Staying informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new products or services.
Creating reports on purchasing metrics, analyzing trends, and forecasting future needs.
Assisting in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain.
Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Tracking inventory levels and identifying potential shortages or overstock situations.
Job Requirements
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, economics, or a related field 5 years and above related experience is typically required.
