The Kindergarten Coordinator will lead and oversee the school’s early years programme, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education for children aged 4–6 years. The role involves curriculum oversight, teacher supervision, training, and ensuring a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment. The Coordinator will work closely with teachers, parents, and the school leadership to promote the holistic development of children in alignment with Pharo School’s vision and educational standards.
1. Curriculum & Instructional Leadership
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Kindergarten curriculum.
Ensure teaching and learning approaches reflect best practices in early childhood education and meet the school’s academic standards.
Support teachers in designing lesson plans, activities, and assessments that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Introduce innovative teaching resources and methods to enhance student engagement.
2. Teacher Supervision & Development
Provide instructional leadership and mentoring to KG teachers and teaching assistants.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Organize and lead professional development workshops for early years staff.
Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
3. Student Development & Welfare
Monitor and track student progress through assessments, portfolios, and regular reporting.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
Address individual learning needs by working with teachers to create differentiated learning strategies.
Oversee student welfare, including safeguarding, health, and well-being.
4. Parent & Community Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, meetings, and workshops.
Provide updates on children’s progress and address any concerns promptly.
Collaborate with the community to enrich the KG learning experience.
5. Administration & Compliance
Prepare termly and annual reports on KG performance for the School Principal.
Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and staff development.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or Educational Leadership (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of early years teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
Strong understanding of early childhood development theories and curriculum design.
Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
