The IT & Digital Innovation Director is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the company’s technology strategy. This position ensures seamless IT operations, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation across business functions—while upholding compliance, security, and innovation standards essential to advancing healthcare diagnostics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the IT & Digital Innovation team (located in HQ) 

• Manage IT & Digital Innovation staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance. 

• Providing direction for the IT & Digital Innovation team members. 

• Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement. • Designing training programs and workshops for the team.

IT Strategic Analysis 

• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs. 

• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems. 

• Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.

IT & Digital Innovation policy 

• Adapting and implementing IT & Digital Innovation policy and best practice guides for the organization. 

• Conducting regular system audits. 

• Running regular checks on network and data security. 

• Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff. 

• Develop test strategies for new hardware and software.

Budgeting 

• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness. 

• Managing and reporting on IT & Digital Innovation budget. 

• Assess vendors and proposals.

IT & Digital Innovation Project Management 

• Lead major IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT & Digital Innovation systems and services. 

• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT & Digital Innovation projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages. 

• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, c Systems, or related field. 

• Master’s degree (preferred): MBA with IT focus or advanced IT/Cybersecurity qualification. 

• Minimum 5 years in IT leadership or supervisory roles.

• Proven experience leading enterprise-level IT infrastructure and digital innovation projects. 

• Strong knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks. 

• Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous, with a focus on the laboratory sector being a significant plus.
