Job Announcement – Site Engineer (Mall Construction)

GS Construction Company Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team for the development of a landmark Mall Construction Project in Juba. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working on mall or large-scale commercial building projects, with strong technical knowledge and on-site coordination skills.

Job Description – Site Engineer (Mall Construction)

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities, ensuring technical compliance, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining quality standards throughout the mall construction project. This role requires hands-on experience in commercial building systems, structural works, finishes, and MEP coordination.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee site execution of structural, architectural, and finishing works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and systems

• Monitor construction progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations

• Resolve technical issues on-site and escalate critical matters to the Project Manager

• Conduct inspections and quality checks for civil, electrical, and mechanical installations

• Liaise with design and planning teams to ensure alignment between drawings and site conditions

• Manage site documentation including RFIs, material approvals, and work permits

• Support project scheduling and resource planning to meet deadlines

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

• Minimum 8 years of experience in building construction, with at least 2 years on mall or commercial complex projects

• Strong understanding of structural systems, mall-specific MEP layouts, and finishing standards

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and site management tools

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills

• Familiarity with South Sudan construction regulations is an asset
