To oversee and coordinate warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe working environment.

Generic Duties:

• Leads, coordinates and oversees day-to-day operation of team members.

• Sets clear team goals and follow up their implementation; 

• Ensures employees follow health and safety regulations;

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares raw material management plan.

• Plans & monitor optimal space utilization & efficient inventory flow.

• Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.

• Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.

• Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse, coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.

• Ensures receiving, issuance, handling of raw materials in proper manner.

• Supervises the day-to-day operations of  raw materials warehouse and documents for completeness prior to receiving, using GRN, verify appropriateness of necessary documents before goods issuance from warehouse.

• Coordinates annual inventory taking process and submit the inventory count report for the line manager.

• Coordinates timely distribution of raw materials for requesting units by ensuring to have supporting documents that confirm receiving of the items by the end users.

• Ensures all appropriate safety and security devices are available, safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory.

• Coordinates segregation of list of inactive and obsolete stock items periodically; submit the list for immediate supervisor for appropriate decision making.

• Maintains and keeps safe raw material store operation related documents; submit all used receipt and issue vouchers to Finance Department.

• Maintains bin card for each item and record the balance following every incoming and outgoing raw material amounts.

• Identifies discrepancies between inventory records (Bin cards) and physical counts; take appropriate action to rectify discrepancies.

• Tracks amount of inventory at hand, how much should have been in store based on stock-level fluctuations, rate of demands, and other considerations and determine the right action to ensure adequate inventory of items. 

• Prepares periodic report on the warehouse operation, inventory flow, and consumption trends. 

• Follows up loading and unloading activity.

• Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Education

• BA or MA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Management, or related fields.  

Experience

• 6 years  of experience

Skills

• Verbal and written communication skills.

• Supervisory and leadership skills.

• Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher amongst others.

• Time management skills.

• Ability to make decisions on the go in liaison with the relevant stakeholders.

• Problem-solving & conflict management skills.
