Job Description

Moyee Coffee Roasting Plc stands as Ethiopia’s first multinational coffee roasting company, operating with a fully integrated “crop-to-cup” value chain. All cultivation and roasting takes place in Ethiopia

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s purchasing activities—ensuring the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive prices. This role requires strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute procurement activities in line with organizational requirements and procurement policies.

  • Identify reliable suppliers, obtain and compare quotations, and negotiate terms and pricing.

  • Prepare purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of suppliers, pricing, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.

  • Coordinate closely with the finance, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement with operational demands.

  • Track inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or production-based environments.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, sourcing strategies, and vendor management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with procurement systems/software.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
