Plastic Surgeon
Designation: Plastic Surgeon

The Plastic Surgeon will specialize in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, addressing a variety of conditions including congenital defects, traumatic injuries, burns, and post-surgical deformities. This role involves meticulous surgical planning, execution, and post-operative care, aiming to restore form and function while enhancing appearance.
Clinical Duties:
Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans for reconstructive and aesthetic concerns.
Perform a wide range of plastic surgery procedures, including skin grafts, flap surgeries, scar revisions, breast reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures.
Manage complex wound care and soft tissue defects.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up.
Collaborate with other surgical specialties in multidisciplinary cases (e.g., trauma, oncology).
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical reports and photographs.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of specialized surgical instruments.
Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives related to surgical outcomes.
Educational Duties:
Educate patients on realistic expectations, surgical risks, and recovery processes.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advanced plastic surgery techniques and technologies.
Minimum Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) degree from a recognized institution.
Specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Valid professional license by the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) or equivalent regulatory body in Ethiopia.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable post-specialization experience in plastic surgery.
Strong surgical skills and aesthetic judgment.
Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
