Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Employment Type: Full-Time Required person - 1
To oversee general accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, managing audits, and mentoring junior finance staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements and reports
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Coordinate and support internal and external audits
Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance interns
Assist in budgeting, forecasting,and financial planning
Recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
Experience with audit preparation and financial analysis
