We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to support the health and well-being of our students and staff. The ideal candidate will provide medical care, promote health education, and create a safe and nurturing environment that supports learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Health Services & Medical Care

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff

• Manage chronic conditions and administer prescribed medications

• Maintain accurate health records and documentation

• Monitor and manage communicable diseases and outbreaks

Health Education & Promotion

• Educate students on hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and wellness

• Collaborate with teachers to integrate health topics into the curriculum

• Organize health awareness campaigns and vaccination drives

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with national health regulations and school policies

• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, etc.)

• Maintain and stock the school clinic with necessary supplies

• Develop and implement health care plans for students with special needs

Communication & Collaboration

• Liaise with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff

• Provide guidance on health-related issues and referrals

• Participate in school safety committees and emergency preparedness planning

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing (Registered Nurse preferred) 

• Valid nursing license in Ethiopia 

• 2+ years of clinical or school nursing experience 

• Strong communication skills and empathy when working with children
